Bauer Vapor Fly 40 Hockey Skates
New for 2025, the Bauer Vapor Fly 40 Hockey Skate brings high-end performance features to players who want elite-level speed, agility, and comfort at a more accessible price point. Designed with the Vapor family’s signature low-profile fit, the Fly 40 offers a tapered shape that locks in the heel and allows for a responsive, close-to-the-foot feel.
The boot is constructed with Bauer’s lightweight CURV composite material, delivering excellent stiffness for energy transfer while maintaining the flexibility needed for quick starts and tight turns. A thermoformable design allows the skate to be heat molded for a customized fit, reducing break-in time and improving comfort. The Digi-Comp outsole enhances stride efficiency, while the asymmetrical toe cap provides a better anatomical wrap for improved agility.
Inside, memory foam ankle pads and a Comfort Edge collar keep the foot stable and cushioned during play. The sublimated liner is both moisture-wicking and durable, helping maintain a secure fit and dry feel throughout games and practices. A 40-ounce pro stock felt tongue with an injected metatarsal guard adds impact protection and relieves lace pressure without limiting forward flex.
Underfoot, the Fly 40 is equipped with Bauer’s PowerFly holder, a next-generation design that is stiffer in the front and more flexible in the back for enhanced energy transfer and agility. Paired with high-performance Fly-X runners, the skate offers exceptional glide, long-lasting edge retention, and reliable stability.
The Bauer Vapor Fly 40 Hockey Skate is an ideal choice for players who want advanced-level performance with a precise fit and fast, agile feel, ready to compete at a high level right out of the box.
